Spider-Man 3 is a 2007 American superhero film written and directed by Sam Raimi, with a screenplay by Ivan Raimi and Alvin Sargent. It is the third film in the Spider-Man film franchise based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The film stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace.

The film begins with Peter Parker basking in his success as Spider-Man, while Mary Jane Watson begins her Broadway career. Harry Osborn still seeks vengeance for his father's death, and an escaped convict, Flint Marko, falls into a particle accelerator and is transformed into a shape-shifting sand manipulator. An alien symbiote crashes to Earth and bonds with Peter, influencing his behavior for the worse. When the symbiote is abandoned, it finds refuge in Eddie Brock Jr., a rival photographer, causing Peter to face his greatest challenge.

 

The Number 23 is a suspense film starring Jim Carrey, Virginia Madsen, and Danny Huston, directed by Joel Schumacher. It was released on February 23, 2007 and was released on DVD on July 24, 2007 (July 23rd in the UK). The plot involves an obsession with the 23 Enigma, an esoteric belief that all incidents and events are directly connected to the number 23, some permutation of the number 23, or a number related to the number 23. This film is the second one with Schumacher and Carrey, the first being Batman Forever. The Number 23 is director Joel Schumacher's 23rd TV-film project.

 

The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio is the true story of how housewife Evelyn Ryan managed to make a living out of winning entries in jingle-writing contests.

In the movie, Evelyn, a mother of ten, tries to win enough jingle contests to support her family due to the lack of support from her alcoholic husband, Kelly, who spent all of his salary on alcohol. Blades of Glory is a 2007 figure skating comedy motion picture directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck starring Will Ferrell, Jon Heder, Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, and Jenna Fischer. The movie was released on March 30, 2007 by DreamWorks (through Paramount Pictures). It is rated PG-13 by MPAA, and 12 by BBFC. It was released on DVD and HD DVD on August 28, 2007. At the 2002 World WinterSport Games, rival world-class men's singles skaters Chazz Michael Michaels "an ice devouring sex tornado," (Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy, "skating's little orphan awesome," (Heder) compete fiercely for the gold. When they tie for first place, an argument on the awards podium begins. It quickly develops into a brawl. Having disgraced their sport, they both receive a lifetime ban from men's singles competition. Jimmy's billionaire father, who had adopted him from the kindly Father St. Pierre (Remy Girard) in a bid to have a champion son, disowns him and leaves him on the side of the road.

300

300 is a 2007 film adaptation of the graphic novel 300 by Frank Miller, and is a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae. The film is directed by Zack Snyder with Frank Miller attached as an executive producer and consultant, and was shot mostly with bluescreen to duplicate the imagery of the original comic book. Spartan King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fight to the last man against Persian King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his army of over one million soldiers, while in Sparta, Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) attempts to rally support for her husband. The story is framed by a voice-over narrative by the Spartan soldier Dilios (David Wenham). Through this narrative technique, various fantastical creatures are introduced, placing 300 within the genre of historical fantasy.

 

Hannibal Rising is a 2007 thriller film, the fifth film to feature Dr. Hannibal Lecter. It is a prequel to Manhunter, its remake Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal. The film is an adaptation of Thomas Harris' 2006 novel of the same name and tells the story of Lecter's evolution into the infamous serial killer of the previous films and books.

The film is directed by Peter Webber from a screenplay by Harris. It was filmed in Barrandov Studios in Prague. It is produced by the Dino De Laurentiis Company and was released on February 9, 2007. Theatrical distribution in the United States was handled by The Weinstein Company and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The DVD was released on May 29, 2007 in Unrated Widescreen and R-rated Full-Screen editions.

 

Stomp the Yard is a 2007 drama film produced by Rainforest Films and released through Sony Pictures' Screen Gems division on January 12, 2007. Directed by Sylvain White, Stomp the Yard centers around DJ Williams, a college student at a fictional historically Black university who pledges to join a fictional Greek-letter fraternity. The film's central conflict involves DJ's fraternity competing in various stepping competitions against a rival fraternity from the same school. The film's script was written by Robert Adetuyi, working from an original draft by Gregory Ramon Anderson. The film was originally titled Steppin', but to avoid confusion over the 2006 film Step Up, the title was changed.
